(More customer reviews)I bought this book for my nephew who has been reading this series with great delight and this time I also joined in on the reading. It wasn't bad-better then alot of the extended universe books (not that that is very hard to do). The material is reasonably appropriate for older children (i.e. violence level is about that of the films and all sexual content is kept low key except all the female characters a drwan a bit on the sleezy side).
The plot is a bit lame but my hopes were not set on that anyway so I had alot of fun with it. It was good to see old faces, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Liea (who does not look much like the Liea I remember form the films) as well as the usual X Wing crowd. Another reason I liked this one is the character of Winter is more then just a useful babysitter for the Solo kids as is common in the extended universe. For the hard core Star Wars fans I am sure this one will be enjoyable and worth aquiring.

(More customer reviews)Do you like Star Wars? Well if you do you should read the book the Diversty Aliance part of the Jouner Jedi Kinghts series. Its about after the movies. Its hard to compare to any series because most of the other books are about the movies. The book the Diversty Aliance is about a group of aliens called the Diversty Aliance that are looking for a plague that can kill all human life but aliens are immune to it. There leader has sent allmost every bounty hunter to find it. I think it was a good book for ages 9-13 I read this book in 1day. I liked it because I`m a Star Wars fan and you get to read about some old charters like Han Solo And some new ones like Louwe.

(More customer reviews)I read this book. It's excellently written, very sci-fi, and once you start you just can't stop.
In this book, Zekk and Raynar go to search for the missing Bornan Thul. Bornan is protecting a deadly plague and weapons depot. There is enough plague in the place to kill every living creature in the entire galaxy.
Zekk and Raynar finally reach Bornan, only to find that he is cornered by bounty hunters Shakra and Boba Fett. Bornan puts the ship into self- destruct, grabs his navicomputer holding the coordinates to the depot, and jumps into his escape pod. But, before the ship blows, Boba Fett successfully slices into Thul's computer and takes information form the ship's log. Then, he returns to Nolaa Tarkona, the leader of the diversity alliance, and leaves.
Jacen and Jaina Solo, Tenel Ka Chume Ta'a Djo, and Lowbacca join Zekk, Raynar and Bornan and make it to the weapons depot. They must use mines and other bombs to blow up the depot before Nolaa Tarkona reaches it.
At the end, there's a BIG surprise so you'll have to read the book or I'll give it away. Anyone Who is willing to read a book 2 cm thick and thinks they can handle it is more than welcome to read it !

Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi Knight, has gone there for a training mission with his his Padawan, Anakin Skywalker. (Readers of the Star Wars Jedi Apprentice series may recognize this planet from book 14: "The Ties That Bind." Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan's deceased Master, took Obi-Wan there for a training mission when he was only a Padawan. It was there that Qui-Gon received his disturbing visions of Tahl, a Jedi Knight that would die after Qui-Gon pledged his life to her.) Wren, a Jedi Knight, leaves Obi-Wan and Anakin on Ragoon-6 and goes off to hide, leaving clues so that the Master-Padawan tem can track him. While on the trip, Anakin feels that he and Obi-Wan are not close and he feels "left out" when his Master does not share his feelings with him. Wren's clues lead Obi-Wan and Anakin to near-death experiences, including a flooded cavern and a den of malia -- savage beasts. While the Jedi are tracking Wren, they stumble upon Floria -- a girl about Anakin's age who cannot find her teacher and friends, whom she lost. The Jedi offer their assistance to Floria and head for their ship to contact someone for assistance. But as the Jedi are walking on their ship, they feel a surge in the Force and quickly run off the ship, right before the bomb that was planted on the Jedi's ship explodes. As Anakin rushes after a figure he saw sneaking around the ship, Floria -- the young slender girl -- used some complicated holds to keep Obi-Wan from moving . . . almost like an assassin. When Anakin pulls back the mask of the figure, he is discovered to be Dane -- Floria's older brother. The Jedi demand an explanation and are shocked at the response: Floria and Dane are bounty hunters. They, along with four other hunters, were dismissed by a being named Granta Omega and were instructed to bring the Jedi to him -- dead or alive. And by now Obi-wan has discovered something that is another problem: training mission clues are not supposed to be deadly, which leads Obi-Wan to the conclusion that Wren was captured. The Jedi's training mission has turned into a survival challenge. Now the Jedi must resuce Wren, and avoid several bounty hunters. Will the Jedi find Wren? Will they encounter Granta Omega? But most importantly: will they survive?
