(More customer reviews)I thought this book was wonderful. I loved the detail on the surroundings and the characters. I thought some of the parts of the book were a bit sad. You actually felt for the characters like they were your long time friends. That signifies a good book when you feel that way. When Obi-Wan felt very bad about the death of Bruck Chun he did not want to meet with Bruck's father, Vox Chun.(If you have not read at least the first 10 books in the Jedi Apprentice series, this book will make no sense to you). I only wished this book was alot longer. The book would zoom ahead 12 years when Obi-Wan has Anikan as a Padawan. I loved how it got into the feelings of Anikan. You could almost sense his knowledge of misunderstanding, and his path to the Dark Side. Thal was also in this a little too, and that was an influense on the beginning characters as well. I hope they have a Special Edition #2. The cover on this book is holographic too! Jude Watson has again put out an amazing book that will bring Star Wars fans and readers to understand the characters of Episode I and II a little better. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan----Obi-Wan and Anikan. Life and Legend of Obi-Wan Kenobi (Star Wars) Review

(More customer reviews)This is a decent book for young readers who may or may not be familiar with the many adventures of Obi-Wan Kenobi. The book encompasses his adventures based on the films and on Expanded Universe tales. All in all, a quick and interesting read. However, some of the "adventures" come right out of the movies, with the dialogue written verbatim; that was a bit tedious, but was only apparent during the events of the Clone Wars.
It's a little pricey seeing how it is really a quick read, but I thought it interesting how there is an interspersed point of view that includes Luke Skywalker.

Return of the Jedi (Choose Your Own Star Wars Adventures) Review

(More customer reviews)With Return of the Jedi Being my favorite Star Wars movie, I was very eager to sit down and become part of the story in one of these "Choose your own adventure" stories. In the book, you play the role of Luke's Best friend, as you attempt to rescue Han and defeat the evil galactic Empire. Along the way, depending on the choices you make, you will zoom along with Leia on speeder bikes, join (Reluctantly) forces with Bobba Fett, set the rancor monster free in Jabbas palace, and my personal favorite, Go with Luke up to the Death Star and decide the fate of the galaxy. There are lots of really neat endings and plot changes in the book depending on what choices you make. There are lots of good and Happy endings, and of course, some very deppressing ones, but thankfully, there are not so many this time (Unlike the Empire strikes back one). One thing that really suprised me are the types of choices in the book. For instance in one critical part, if you choose the good bath, you get a bad ending, but if you take the good path, you get a good ending. My only gripe with this book is that you are considered a weakling too many times by Han and the Others. But it is still the best in the series of Adventure books. Dont miss it!
The good: You are a main charachter in Star Wars! Lots of happy endings, really cool scenarios
The bad: Some dissapointing endings
And the ugly: You are often reduced to the role of "Idiot" a lot.
