I hardly know where to begin. First, I suppose, there's the bad news. This isn't really a book, per se. It looks like one, and you read it like you read books, but this is really more of a game piece. The story is set up - several times! - in (1) the Introduction (2) the Preliminary Mission and (3) the Mission Briefing. Then the game begins. There are instructions for the game, which are, essentially, "roll the dice." Roll YOUR OWN dice because, despite the fact that it's not a normal book, this is a book, it doesn't come with dice. Based on the roll on the dice, do what you're told to do in the book. Sooner or later, you'll get to the end of the book, having won or lost something, and you'll be thrilled - if you like this game - to know there's a "next mission."
There's a fan base for this, certainly. I'm not sure who they are, other than young Star Wars fans, but they must exist because these books do sell. But if you're not already playing whatever game this is... just pass this by. It isn't a story, it isn't going to appeal to you. If, on the other hand, you've played the previous 9 missions then, by all means, you'll want to get this one.
