This calendar was underproduced and, as such, is hard to find except at the crazy-high (and not worth it) prices some sellers here have listed; however, this is the single best Star Wars calendar produced in many years.
Most of the Star Wars calendars simply mix photographs from the six Star Wars movies or other photographs that have been overused in the past 33 years. But this calendar has a number of art pieces by acclaimed Star Wars artist Clark Mitchell. These exciting, action-oriented art works provide Star Wars calendar enthusiasts something they've not gotten before and is a welcome change of pace.
However, this calendar goes one step further. The art on this calendar is not original for the calendar; Mitchell's works collected here first appeared on the card backs for Hasbro's 9" "Star Wars Unleashed" figure line. This artwork has been loved by Star Wars figure collectors for years, and many fans have hoped to see this art collected in book form. It seems this calendar may be those collectors' answer. While by no means complete (such works as Mitchell's Asajj Ventress and IG-88 are missing), the works printed here are large representations of Mitchell's great work, unmarred by the bubble and figure that obscured the art on the original packages.
If you can find this calendar at a reasonable price, it is a treat for all Star Wars fans. However, it is no where near worth what some are charging.
